“Since feeding Saracen Shape-Up my horse has looked a picture of health and in conjunction with regular but light exercise her weight has been easier to manage. The best bit is that she loves the feed and I have the feel good factor that I am giving her a feed but with the peace of mind that it is good for her.”

“My children’s 33 year old retired pony has suffered from metabolic type laminitis for at least the last 10 years. Despite all our best endeavours, and to my personal great embarrassment, she has always shown quite severe signs of laminitis every summer. This year I tried feeding “Shape-up” from early in the spring, with no great expectations in view of our previous experience. I am delighted to say that for once we have managed to keep signs of laminitis at bay. It is the first food we have used that appears to play an active part in stabilizing the metabolism, rather than just avoiding precipitating a crisis. As an additional bonus, she eats it quite happily, having been a bit picky about some previous feed. I have been sufficiently impressed that I have already suggested to several clients that they should feed it to problem laminitic patients.”

“Since feeding Saracen Shape-up it’s like I have a different horse. Annie is how I always wanted her to be, her weight loss has given her the freedom to move with energy, she’s alert and interested in her job and much easier to ride. Annie is a picture of health; I no longer need to have several feeds and supplements, saving time and money everyone comments on her glossy coat and condition.”

“Ralphy (A Warleigh Sea Game, 14 year old Riding Pony Stallion) was diagnosed with metabolic disorder in the spring of 2004 following a bout of laminitis. He had been shown extensively as a youngster and then as a stallion, and in order to keep the condition on him for the stud season he needed weight gain feeds. All of these feeds triggered laminitits once he hit his target weight of 320kgs. I tried various feeds on him and he ended up on a diet of rough hay and had to wear remedial shoes. After trialling Saracen Shape-Up the results with him are amazing. He has maintained his weight, but no longer has his fat lumps. He found the food palatable and hasn’t left any.”
